Hello my Wimbledon hair. If I could sum up our relationship, I’d say it’s been tumultuous. The ups and downs more perilous than a rollercoaster. Good days, bad days, tears and laughter, you’ve been with me through thick and thin. What stories you could tell, from creeping toddler curls to concealing teenage angst. You’ve mopped up tears and been torn apart. Sometimes I didn’t know who you were, why would you behave that way; the frizz, the kinks, the split ends…and now? Hair, they say, is 90% of the selfie, so only the best will do. But where in Wimbledon I hear you ask, well question no more, as our latest arrival is Robert Kirby. YEYS! A bona fide A-list celeb hairdresser has come to our town. If you mention CHARLOTTE LOVES when booking on 0208 947 9157 you’ll get 30% off your first appointment. Love is most certainly in the Wimbledon hair.

MY PROBLEMS: frizzy, kinky, unmanageable, brassy blonde with copious prolonged styling sessions, breakage and split ends.
THE PLAN OF ACTION: Avoid the bleach at all costs, more frequent cuts, smoothing treatments, trial new cleansing, colouring & styling products.
THE PRESCRIPTION: Brazilian Blow dry, followed by a high lift colour from Danish brand id HAIR. Yeah baby, it’s Scandinavian for Scandinavian blondes so it’s creamy and cool, not yellow and brassy. My joy was (and let me say is STILL) palpable…I want to scream it from the rooftops. A high lift (they say up to 5 times the lift of your natural blonde) WITHOUT the bleach. I mean, without the bleach, we should make this THE LAW. Well, for one, it’s my new rule and I’m not going to break the law.
The Brazilian Blow Dry includes protein from a blend of amino acids and gave me incredible smoothing results which means I don’t have to restyle or reheat my hair every day so my breakage has already improved. My hair was shampooed, semi dried, product applied, blow dried, flat ironed, then rinsed and dried one last time. I then left for three days before washing again and it faired pretty well. At home I’ve followed up with id HAIR Rescue Shampoo and Conditioner as well as the Rescue Spray. Oh my Wimbledon hair has never felt so good.

DAY 3 BRAZILIAN BLOW DRY.
The salon is chic, like a golden goddess, with talented insightful staff and insanely brilliant coffee. Well, we all know anything is possible with coffee and good hair. Thanks Robert, you’ve brought great hair to Wimbledon.
